About Gyro-Trac
Always First, Always The Best
From every forestry application to any land clearing need at all, Gyro-Trac simply has the best, single-purpose-built mulching machines available.
Born Out Of Need, Refined In The Field
Gyro-Trac was born out of meeting an industry need and rising to unforgiving challenges! Brothers Daniel & Guy Gaudreault designed, developed, and built the first motorized rotary mulcher over 25 years ago for their forestry operations in Western Canada.
At a time when government pushback and new environmental laws were being put into effect on the land clearing and logging industry in Canada during the 1980s, forestry as we know it was being squeezed by constant regulation. The expense to forest, clear land, and run mining operations was mounting, severely crippling many companies.
The Gaudreault brothers, rather than go along with everyone else, forged into new territory with the invention of the first low ground pressure, self-motorized mulching machine. True naturalists at heart, the brothers saw a need to protect and minimize the impact from the mining and power industries on the land and still preserve both their livelihood and the native beauty of the Canadian wilderness.
And Gyro-Trac Was Born…
What Makes Gyro-Trac Unique?
Today, Gyro-Trac has numerous patents, manufactures several machines, and again revolutionized the land clearing industry with the advent of the Saber-Tooth Cutter-head! However, it was the original Gyro-Trac that really set the stage for what was to come.
Several Things Changed The Industry Forever With The First Gyro-Trac:
- Low Ground Pressure: Equipment designed to disperse weight over a large area, like snowshoes for machinery, minimizes terrain damage.
- Easy Transportation: Lighter, more maneuverable machines reduce the need for multiple types of equipment, saving time and money.
- Fuel Efficient: Less horsepower and weight mean less fuel consumption, longer operation times, and increased productivity.
…And The Biggest Benefit? An Environmentally Friendly By-Product…
Every Gyro-Trac owner likes to brag about how our mulching machines and cutter-heads save time and earn more money. One of the greatest benefits of using our mulchers is the reduction of huge volumes of trees and vegetation to environmentally desirable biomass.
Gyro-Trac’s Lean Green Mulching Machines outperform any other rotary-drum mulching machine and cutter-head combination on the market. They clear unwanted trees and underbrush in a safer, more environmentally friendly way, completing jobs faster while preserving soil structures and preventing erosion.
Gyro-Trac equipment eliminates burning, hauling, dumping, or chipping debris, with some contractors saving over $2,000 per day. Our machines mulch trees and stumps to the ground, leaving behind a fine, nutrient-rich mulch that enriches the environment.
